Gen Kelsang Demo is the Midwestern US National Spiritual Director and the Resident Teacher at the International Kadampa Retreat Center Grand Canyon. She has been a student of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche for more than 25 years and has been teaching Kadampa Buddhism since 1998.

Gen Demo is deeply respected as a teacher and practitioner. She demonstrates a wealth of practical knowledge and provides clear and inspiring teachings for people of all levels of interest.

Gen Demo will grant the Empowerment and give the teachings on Saturday and Sunday.

Gen Kelsang Zamling, Resident Teacher of Kadampa Meditation Center Chicago, has been a student of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso for many years, and has taught in the United States and in the UK. Gen Zamling is known for his practical approach, warmth, and clarity. He is well-loved by his students, and sets an immaculate example of someone who has taken Buddha’s teachings to heart. Gen Zamling will give the introductory talk Friday evening.

Gen Kelsang Chokyi is the Resident Teacher of Kadampa Meditation Centers Indianapolis and Bloomington. She has been a student of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche for 20 years. Gen Chokyi is a modern-day Kadampa nun who teaches with joy, wisdom, and experience. She shows how everyone can easily integrate Buddha’s teachings into daily life. Gen Chokyi will lead morning meditation on Saturday and Sunday.
