The 2008 Midwest Dharma Celebration is a wonderful opportunity for people throughout the Midwest to receive uplifting teachings from Gen-la Kelsang Dekyong, the National Spiritual Director of the New Kadampa Tradition - International Kadampa Buddhist Union (NKT-IKBU). It is an opportunity to gather together with like-minded friends and return home with a deeper understanding of Buddha's teachings.

 

During this Celebration Gen-la Dekyong will grant the blessing empowerment of Wisdom Buddha Dorje Shugden. Dorje Shugden is a manifestation of the wisdom Buddha, a Dharma Protector. He works tirelessly to cause Kadam Dharma to flourish in our hearts and throughout the world. Dorje Shugden guides us along correct spiritual paths, and protects our Dharma practice. Through this empowerment we receive special blessings that provide an opportunity to make a powerful heart connection with Dorje Shugden and come under his loving care.
